From EABA president Nate Minor:
I appreciate this community and neighborhood so much. I feel like a lot is asked of you, daily, but you continue to step up. From my business to East Atlanta Business Association to all other organizations and small businesses, thank you.
It’s been about five months since we started the Georgia Works program where a team comes and cleans the village and by all accounts even if you don’t see them working, people have seen the cleanliness of our community. They show up, three times a week and they help our community stay clean all week long amongst all the other incredible work they do regarding outreach.
Sadly, it might have to come to a close soon if we don’t continue to provide financial support to this program. I don’t want to ask for money, nor does any member of our non-profits (that do the work that fills in for the things aren’t done by our city). I have to ask for support.
I want to acknowledge and appreciate the support of our community organizations especially East Atlanta Community Association and our wonderful Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari.
We are currently at $13,955 and I appreciate every single one of those donations, but this project will cost over $25,000. I think this community can do it.
If you can give, please do:

PS: When this pilot has completed we’d love to figure out other types of support and they are out there. We will get them and ask less, but for now, we are at the mercy of our community to prove this works.
