    It's almost time to Strut!

The East Atlanta Strut is back and it’s neighborhood-wide on Saturday, September 25, from noon to 6 p.m. This year’s presenting sponsors are the Southern Feedstore – a food hall debuting at the Strut! -- and The Marbut – a retail and residential complex opening in early 2022. The Strut also features the beers of Creature Comforts Brewing, including Classic City Lager.  Beneficiaries of this all-volunteer-run festival include the Free99Fridge project and Pet Buddies Atlanta.

    Here’s how you can Strut:

Volunteer: We are completely volunteer-run and all our proceeds go back into next year’s Strut and to other community nonprofits.

Sponsor: We can get your company’s name in front of thousands of people.

Compete in a crazy contest: Highlights include the Strut Your Bake rum-dessert bake-off and the Leaf Blower Madness Tournament. Tasters and spectators are welcome.

Plant seeds of fun: Strut Your Garden or come Strut through some gardens.

Strut your talentart, or business: We’ll provide the spot, you provide the goods.

Be a host house: Do you live in East Atlanta and have space for a tent or a band? You, too, can be the Strut.

We’ll see you on 9/25. Thanks!
Contact info@eastatlantastrut.com if you need more info.

Note: The Strut is held outdoors, and all registered participants agree to follow whatever CDC guidelines and local mandates regarding Covid are in force on September 25. We strongly recommend everyone eligible get the Covid vaccine.  In 2020, we had a safe, masked, distanced event, and we’re prepared to do the same in 2021.

We're starting to see more opportunities opening up with the State COVID regulations being lifted and vaccinations being readily available. Please be aware that the mass vaccine sites have changes to the dose appointments

We're not over COVID yet, so please be mindful and keep adhering to the updated CDC guidelines

Also, the City of Atlanta has opened up permits for special events up to 9,999 attendees. So expect to see festivals this summer.

    • Don’t forget that they will be returning on June 9th and 10th for filming on Glenwood. If you haven’t checked out the set at Dollie’s you should definitely swing by and see what they’ve done. Movie magik ‍♂️   .
‘Step Up’ filming continues today on Braeburn Circle from Clifton to Josephine. I have not seen any more permits come across the wire for this show but I’ll update if anything pops up.

Please hit me up if you see something filming I haven’t noted.
    • Anything not shooting on public property isn’t required to obtain a permit so it might slip past me.
    • I’m trying to build a Rolodex of locations scouts and would at least like to swing by and drop a card.
